Caig Waterfalls near the shores of Loch Arkaig is a magical place - tranquil and unique. The wedding ceremony site The site is available for civil ceremonies, civil partnerships and religious ceremonies. It's located next to the Caig Waterfalls and Witches Pool. All around are mature, native trees. A visit before the big day is definitely recommended to appreciate the true beauty of this spot.
The surrounding area is steeped in history and legend. It was just above the waterfalls that, in 1746, Bonnie Prince Charlie hid in a cave from the redcoats after his defeat at the battle of Culloden. You'll even be part of a little bit of Hollywood glamour, as it was at this location that Liam Neeson, playing Rob Roy, fled from his oppressors in the film of the same name. What does the package include?Our woodland wedding package at Caig Falls includes: - Hire of the site
- Use of the car park
- Hire of a small canvas gazebo
- Witnesses can also be provided if required
- Details of other service providers such as hotels and catering on request.
What does it cost?The package costs £200 Monday - Friday and £250 on Saturdays. Sundays are unavailable. Please note this does not include the registrar's fee. How many guests?A wedding at the Caig Falls is ideally suited to smaller parties. The maximum number for this kind of outdoor civil ceremony is 20 guests. Pets are also welcome to attend. Are there other woodland locations available?Contact us to discuss your requirements - other areas in the district could be available. Registrar arrangements Your ceremony will be booked with the Forestry Commission Scotland office, however, it is up to you to make sure that all legal documentation has been arranged with the local registrar.

Saturday by appointment: 10.00am to 12 noon. How to find Caig FallsCaig Waterfalls is about 20 miles from Fort William, just beyond Achnacarry estate. Follow the A82 to the Commando memorial at Spean Bridge and turn left onto the B8004 to Gairlochy, crossing over the Caledonian Canal swing bridge. From here, turn right onto the B8005 and follow the road almost as far as the shore of Loch Arkaig. The car park is on the right hand side. The last 5 miles of this road are single track, so take extra care. Access to the wedding site from the car park is very easy and is suitable for wheelchair use.
