We've got some great prizes to give away in our photographic competition, which we're running as part of the 7stanes arts project.
- The first prize is a Canon Powershot A650 IS camera, kindly sponsored by Walter Glendinning of Glendinning Construction.
- 2 x runners up prizes of a free skills tuition day led by a qualified mountain bike leader.
What's involved?
It's pretty simple: we are looking for your photographic interpretation of the 7stanes sculptures. Your image(s) can be in black and white or colour. The rest is up to you!
Send your photos on CD or DVD only, along with your contact details, to: Margaret Bryden, 7stanes Office, Forestry Commission Scotland, 55/57 Moffat Road, Dumfries, DG1 1NP.
The deadline for entries is 5pm on Tuesday 30th September 2008.
Judging the photos
After 30th September 08, the judging panel, comprising Steve Kirkpatrick (Managing Director, Wee Sleekit), Jan Hogarth (Public Arts Officer, Dumfries & Galloway Arts Association) and Walter Glendinning (Owner, Glendinning Construction and sponsor of the camera) will decide on the best entry and two runners up.
The winners will be notified and their details and photos placed on the 7stanes website by end of October 2008 at the latest.
