Elbow Live Music 2008
Following on from their sold out April tour, Elbow have announced a special trip to the woods this summer when they will be appearing at Delamere Forest, Cheshire. The concert will be a local show for the band and their gig will be supporting the Forestry Commission’s valuable social and environmental programmes.
Elbow’s fourth album 'The Seldom Seen Kid' was released in March to huge critical acclaim and radio airplay including exclusive sessions with Zane Lowe on Radio 1 and Radcliffe and Maconie on Radio 2. NME reviewed the latest album as ‘a stunning record, a career-best from a band whose consistency has seldom been matched by any British indie band this decade. Nine out of ten!’ and the same magazine described the bands album launch show as 'a set of spellbinding songs that keep them stratospheres above the majority of modern British rock groups'. The latest album release follows on from 2005’s ‘Leaders Of The Free World’, ‘Cast Of Thousands’ (2003) and the 2001 Mercury Prize short-listed ‘Asleep At The Back’. The band commented 'We always love playing gigs in unusual places. We've never done a gig in a forest before so we're really looking forward to it.'
