Sherwood Pines Forest Park is a large mixed conifer and broadleaf woodland, with open spaces, heathland and ponds.
It is a multi-purpose forest, managed by the Forestry Commission for timber production, wildlife and recreation.
A visit to the woodland provides an exciting day of discovery, allowing children a sense of freedom in a safe environment.
