The Community Rangers work with local people to protect and manage local countryside sites. A key role of the project is to raise awareness of these countryside sites and develop opportunities for community involvement.

  • Tree planting, footpath improvements, pond restoration, hedgelaying
  • Recording wildlife
  • Leading guided walks
  • Assisting with school visits and family activities

Shadow Ranger - Voluntary Work Placement

We are looking for people with and interest in pursuing a career in countryside management. Successful applicants will be given training and development opportunities by work shadowing current countryside management staff.
