Regional budgets may be revised in light of actual demand and in taking account of our national targets. We cannot therefore guarantee to spend all of each allocated regional grant budget. The Woodland Creation Grant in North West England has a fast track score of 16 and above as measured on our regional scoring form (pdf 452 kb). Woodland Regeneration GrantWe have been successful in obtaining an additional £30,000 of WRG funding for the 08/09 Claim Year. The funding will be limited to applications that seek to change Plantations on Ancient Woodland Sites (PAWS) to Native Species. The change from either conifer or broadleaved plantations are eligible on this occasion. The deadline for applications is 29th February 2008, subject to funds still being available. As with WRG it is available on a first come – first served basis. Woodland Improvement GrantThe unallocated £130,000 from WCG has been reallocated to WIG and we have topped up: Please remember that WIG applications are ltd to £7,000 of grant per scheme. The Woodland Improvement Grant target area map (pdf 1.87mb) gives an indication of the eligible geograhical area for this grant.
