A matrix of trails litter the needle covered floor of Sherwood Pines Forest Park, providing a network of riding possibilities for all ages and abilities.

Whether you're looking epic cross country loops, tight twisty fast singletrack, or slow technical sections, there's something for the serious biker.  If you'd rather relax and take a leisurely family ride around the miles of family trails, you can easily do that too, there's no doubt something for everyone at Sherwood Pines.

Bikes and accessories are all available for hire from the cycle centre.  The visitor centre has a wide range of facilities including further information regarding the cycle trails.

New cycle trails due to be fully open by September 2008, including -

  • Family Cycle Green Route - 3 mile all weather limestone surface, wide enough for use by buggies, suitable for all ages and abilities.
  • Adventure Trail Blue Route - 6 mile family cycle route on unsurfaced technical trails, designed for beginner to intermediate .  Ideal for the more skilled off road user.
  • Kitchener Trail Red Route - 6 mile off road, cross country technical trails with obstacles, suitable for the more exprienced rider.
  • Skills Loop - based at the visitors centre, this area will provide examples of the terrain, obstacles and trail features that may be encountered withing the forest.
