Whatever your fitness and ability levels there’s a range of waymarked trails for you to explore.
Here’s just a few of our suggestions to get you going.

Father and pushchair, Kiveton Community Woodland, South YorkshireAll ability trails - 0.75 - 2 miles / 1 - 3 km and surfaced. Suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs.

The Smelters' Walk in Top Lodge Fineshade Woods, Northamptonshire
Elephant Walk in Salcey Forest, Northamptonshire (incorporates the exciting Tree Top Way!)
White Trail in Sherwood Pines Forest Park, Nottinghamshire

Middle distance routes 2 - 5 miles / 3 - 8 km
Red Trial, Chambers Farm Wood, Lincolnshire
The Church Path Trail - Salcey Forest, Northamptonshire
Dales Wood Trail - Top Lodge Fineshade Woods, Northamptonshire

Much of the Forestry Commission woodland in the East Midlands is dedicated under the Countryside and Rights of Way (CROW) act giving you the right to walk the woods.

Please make sure you follow all on site signage as from time to time some trails are diverted and areas are closed for your safety due to essential maintenance or forest operation works.
