A new body, Natural Resources Wales has taken over the functions previously carried out by Forestry Commission Wales. For a limited period some of Natural Resources Wales online services will continue to be provided on this website.
The Woodlands for Learning Team work throughout Wales and all Education Officers are fully trained in group safety and risk assessment procedures. All hold a current First Aid qualification and are enhanced level CRB checked.
Education Officers:
Work directly with groups offering curriculum linked visits in local woodlands
Offer training sessions to help teachers, group leaders and others use their local woodlands for learning
Support the development and delivery of Forest School
Co-ordinate Forest Education Initiative (FEI) cluster groups across Wales
Whatever age and ability you work with, from Foundation Phase to University level, clubs, groups and societies, our Education Officers will be happy to help you make the most of your local woodlands.
