Car park

Hamsterley Forest

Trails

  • All trails open.

Forest drive, car parks and other facilities

  • Bedburn car parks and Grove car park open 8am to 5pm. 
  • Wood n' Wheels cycle hire is open Wednesday to Sunday (10am-4pm)
  • Hamsterley Tea Room is open at weekends (10.30am-4pm)
  • The visitor centre reopens on 1 April

Kielder Forest

Trails

  • Castle Hill MTB Trail is closed due to forestry operations
  • Kershope Horse Trails are closed due to forest road maintenance
  • All other trails open. Some patchy snow and ice on trails, especially those at higher levels. This includes Deadwater, Lonesome Pine and Bloody Bush MTB trails.
  • Please note that the trails Lonesome Pine and Bloody Bush will be closed 7am to 2pm on 20th March due to a car rally

Forest drive, car parks and other facilities

  • All car parks open.
  • The main toilet block outside the Castle entrance and the Duke's Pantry tearoom are open.
  • The Forest Drive will be closed until 1 April 2010
  • Toilets at Blakehopeburnhaugh closed for winter
  • Kielder Castle visitor centre reopens on 1 April
