Lower Llynfi Woodlands Project, Tondu

The project aims to improve physical & intellectual access to 3 woodlands in the Lower Lynfi Valley linked by historical connections and an existing access network.

Parc Tondu: Woodland management and habitat enhancement to improve the diversity of the site. Access and recreational improvements; including provision of informal paths within the site and the creation of a formal link to the Celtic Trail, to encourage further exploration of the site and the wider countryside.

Consultations with the local community have identified the need for the project and its objectives; woodland management and improvement according to agreed plan, installation of interpretation and art works following workshops with local people.

Coed Tondu: Access improvements to informal woodland paths to allow wider community access to the woodland, will complement an existing Cydcoed project being run by Ecodysgu.
