To create community woodland on abandoned land, which separates the villages of Cwmfelin & Llangynwyd. The land, which has not been farmed for at least 10 years, was given to the Borough Council for community use when houses were built nearby but the council has not had the funds to develop it. The Cydcoed project will make the site available for all sections of the community and benefit the whole community. The Community Council will lease the site at a peppercorn rent. Works include woodland planting and establishment, access provision, fencing, recreational facilities and opportunities and interpretation.
