This project involves developing and expanding a small woodland area at the school. The area of woodland will be increased by planting part of the school field with native trees and shrubs and the existing woodland will be diversified to provide a greater range of habitats and wider access. Project works include:
developing a woodland trail which will be all weather and wheelchair accessible
providing woodland study area and quiet area for reflection and woodland studies in peaceful surroundings
providing a pond-dipping platform and interpretation panel
wet meadowland management
woodland management and tree planting
provision of growing beds for plants and seedlings and in order to set up a gardening club in the community
installation of bird and bat boxes
