Bettws Nature Reserve, Bettws

This project is based at the former Bettws Nature Reserve. The proposed works include: re-surfacing paths, building new paths, introducing woodland management, constructing a pond dipping platform, information boards, a shelter and picnic area and the creation of a sense of place through fencing, community access gateways and community events. A key aim is to ensure significant community involvement in the design and delivery of the project and through this to engender a sense of community ownership and care for the site. This in turn will be key to ensuring the sustainability of the project.

The Friends of Bettws Primary School are a group of volunteers that support a number of the school initiatives with their time and fundraising such as the breakfast club, the helping hands group (cleaning and classroom support) and the annual school fete.
