Concerts at Westonbirt Arboretum 2009

Vanessa-Mae, the world famous violin virtuoso, will be appearing at Westonbirt Arboretum as part of the Forestry Commission’s 2009 concert season. Anthony Inglis will conduct the National Symphony Orchestra and she'll include favourites such as Bach's Toccata & Fugue in D minor, vivaldi's four Seasons and Khachaturian's Sabre Dance. There will be special guests the classical supergroup All Angels, who will feature as part of the performance and there'll be the much-loved Last Night of the Proms sequence and the firework finale, with Vanessa Mae and the orchestra giving an electrifying rendition of Vivaldi's classic 'Storm'.Vanessa-Mae, with her band and a symphony orchestra, will be performing on Saturday 18th July 2009. The most influential and successful British singer-songwriter of the past decade, David Gray, has announced a brace of gigs this summer.

With 3 UK No.1 albums and twice winner of the prestigious Ivor Novello Award - in 2001 for his breakthrough single ‘Babylon’ and again in 2003 for the single ‘The Other Side’. David has also won a GQ Award for Best Solo Artist (2002), a Q Award for Best Single (2001) and nominated twice for Best Male (2001/2003) at the Brit Awards, alongside a Grammy Nomination for Best New Artist (2002). David will be releasing a new studio album later this year.
