Forest Enterprise Scotland Framework Strategic Plan and Forest District Strategic Plans: Consultation
 The documents on this page set out Forest Enterprise Scotland’s (FES) strategy for managing the national forest estate. Draft FES Framework Strategic PlanThe Scottish Government’s Forestry Strategy was published in October 2006. The draft FES - Framework Strategic Plan defines how Forestry Commission Scotland will implement this strategy on the national forest estate and what other actions it requires from its operating arm. The plan provides direction for 14 individual Forest District Strategic Plans. Drafts of these documents are available below, as well as the Strategic Environmental Assessment for each of the 14 district plans. Forest district strategic plansStrategic Environmental Assessments (SEA)The consultation period for these documents finished on Monday 9th June. All responses will be analysed and considered along with any other evidence to help us review whether the draft Forest Enterprise Scotland Framework Strategic Plan and the draft Forest District Strategic Plans deliver appropriate outcomes for the Scottish Forestry Strategy. We aim to issue a report on the consultation process during September 2008 and by October 2008 publish (on this website) the Forest Enterprise Scotland Framework Strategic Plan and the Forest District Strategic Plans, amended to address comments provided from the consultation process. We also intend to make all non-confidential responses available by request from Forest Enterprise Scotland Head Office.
