Public and voluntary agencies with an interest in mountain biking in Scotland have produced a Strategic Framework to ensure that the country continues to take full advantage of the growth in mountain biking. Sustainable development of mountain biking in Scotland (PDF 2.2Mb).

7stanes: snow and ice is still affecting some higher 7stanes trails. Check 7stanes trail conditions page or with the MTB ranger service for updates.

Carron Valley:  The car park is now fully re-opened but some of the trails are still affected by snow. Please ride with care. The resurfaced Runway section of the trail is now graded an orange freeride trail.

Laggan Wolftrax:  Snow has gone. Diversions in place due to harvesting. There's a diversion map on the Wolftrax homepage.

Moray Monster Trails:  Fochabers Ring will be closed during February & March 2010 due to harvesting. Trails in general were badly affected by autumn 09 storms: Check with Moray and Aberdeenshire Forest District for latest information prior to travelling.
