Looking for minibeasts at Forest School

These woods offer a fantastic learning opportunity for people of all ages and abilities, combining 'hands-on' education with ideas for active minds.

Our 'community and education' rangers can offer educational programmes designed to meet National Curriculum targets, as well as activities for the Life-Long Learner.

There are several packages to choose from, or the session can be tailored to your needs. Groups looking for day or half-day ranger-led programmes can visit the woods listed below (others may be possible by arrangement). For more information about what packages are available, click on 'Schools' in the left-hand menu.

For information about leading your own group, click on 'Self -led visits' in the left-hand menu, or for information about other types of group visit (cubs, guides, special interest groups, guided walks etc.), click on 'Other groups'.

Ranger-led sessions are available in the following woods:

  • Maulden Wood, Bedfordshire
  • Bourne Wood, south Lincolnshire
  • Fineshade Wood, north Northamptonshire
