Large woodland access improvement project located in a local beauty spot. Works to woods and waterfalls has benefited both the local community and visitors alike, and provided disabled access to certain parts of the wood. Local contractors using local materials and traditional methods carried out the work, and local school children were involved in naming the bridges and poems written by them have been put up in the woodland.
Project work undertaken included footpath creation/improvements and bridge construction to increase access. Renovation, tree and mine safety work, drainage and resurfacing works to improve overall safety, and creation of all ability paths to enable disabled access to the woodlands.
