Project that created a new woodland, extended an existing woodland area, improved access and established a tree nursery. Based on Moelyci farm the project is part of a large environmental centre project purchased by Moelyci Industrial Provident Society, with many local community members.
Work included creation of paths and car parking facilities to enable disabled access, development of nature trails and picnic areas, creation of signs, maps and fixed posts for orienteering. Bridleways & cycle tracks were created through woodlands, thinning and clearance of existing trees was undertaken, fencing and access gates installed, a tree nursery established and a workshop constructed.
