We offer a comprehensive service for processing, treatment and
storage of tree seed from our unit at Alice Holt. Our mainstream
activities are to collect, process and buy seed for the Forestry
Commission although these services are available to anybody
involved in the commercial use of tree seed. The unit comprises
a large seed extractory with separate cold stores that are used
for the long term storage of more then 5 tonnes of seed.
Services offered include:
- Extraction and cleaning of seed for all tree and shrub species
- Seed storage
Pre treatment and stratification of seed for sowing - Seed sales
We specialise in the collection and supply of conifer seed from
selected stands or seed orchards with superior timber quality.
All seed is tested before sale and complies with the registration
processes required of the 'Forest Reproductive Materials
Regulations'. Prices and a seed inventory is available on request,
a minimum order value of £25 will apply and discounts are
offered when the value of a single seed order exceeds £5000.
