There have been three main projects that the Forestry Commission was involved in to help protect and conserve the New Forest.

Tomorrow's Heathland Heritage - aims to restore heathland areas across the New Forest and Dorset
Between 2004 and 2008, the Forestry Commission undertook an apprenticeship scheme this trained six young people in the practical skills required to manage the forest.
