European union rules on buying land

 

We can fund the cost of buying land including woodland up to market value
(determined by an independent qualified valuer) provided the land is within
the Objective 1 area; the land is devoted to the intended use for at least 20 years; and the purchase is made by a body governed by public law (eg: local authority, registered charity, company limited by guarantee, community council).

We can fund the purchase of real estate (land with buildings) up to market value provided the buildings have not already been funded by European or government grants in the past ten years. The independent valuation will also have to confirm that the buildings conform to relevant regulations or specifiy any problems for rectification.

Up to 10% of our total grant fund can be given for buying land.
