Landscape architect ( pay band 3)

Who can apply?

You must have a recognised degree in Landscape Architecture plus Associate Membership of the Landscape Institute.

The duties of this post require that applicants hold a full driving licence that enables them to drive in the UK. However, the Forestry Commission is willing to consider any proposals put forward by disabled applicants, whose disability prevents them from driving, that would allow them to do the job by another means.

What is the work like?

CHINNEY FIELD IN MABIE FOREST

Landscape Architects employed in the Forestry Commission have a training role and monitor standards of landscape design in all of Britain’s forests. There is also promotional work, research and development in new design areas and some overseas consultancy.

In Forest Enterprise the job includes helping to design forests and forest recreation areas, advising on building layouts, civil engineering works and other issues of land management where the shape of the landscape is of concern.
