Forest Life magazine
Forest Life is a free magazine published twice a year by the Forestry Commission.
In the latest issue we're highlighting walks, cycle trails, watersports, our green visitor centres and organised camping across Britain. We also have recipes for BBQs from Wendy Norton, resident chef at High Lodge Visitor Centre, Thetford in East Anglia. There are features on canoeing on Loch Lubnaig in Scotland, a walk to the source of the Severn in Wales and the new family cycling trail in Hamsterley Forest in the North-east. We also take a close look at our new generation of visitor centres that are as green as the trees around them. The tree doctor, aka David Rose, our tree pathologist, also returns with another selection of your questions. And of course, we have the usual mix of exciting news, events, information and competitions, with the chance to win some family camping kit. There's even some advice for dogs on how to look after their humans in the woods! You can view online the PDF version of the current issue of Forest Life magazine (5 Mb). In the right-hand column, you will find a link to the Adobe website if you need to download the Acrobat Reader. Also, you can browse through the previous issues from 2005, spring 2006, summer/autumn 2006 and spring 2007. Again these are PDF documents and may take some time to download depending on your connection.
