Conservancies

Forestry Commission Scotland has 5 conservancy offices.  The conservancies give advice and information on forestry to woodland owners.  They also provide grants for growing new woodlands or managing existing woodlands.

Forest Enterprise Scotland

Forest Enterprise Scotland (FES) is Forestry Commission Scotland's land management arm. FES manages the national forest estate through its Forest District structure.

There are 14 forest districts around Scotland.  They protect, manage and maintain Scotland's woodlands and forests, as well as providing recreation and access facilities for the general public.

Plant Health

The Plant Health Service protects the forests and the timber industry of Great Britain. It draws up and applies rules on both the import and export of forestry material (trees, timber and timber products) and the movement of this material within the EU.
