Sit a while and look out across Trimpley reservoir (there is a picnic table at the viewpoint), you may even spot a steam train making its way along the Severn Valley Railway.

Amazing walk through the woods loved walking off the beaten track into the fur trees very exciting :) only noticed a couple of dog messes, didn't really bother me nothing serious. loved the walk so peaceful just to stand and listen to the birds, didn't see any deer tho but loved seeing the grazing pigs made my walk ow and the view was just breathtaking. Extremely recommended family friendly horse friendly just amazing will be going back again again and again.

Please remind everyone using the car park not to leave valuables in their cars. My car was broken into on Mother's day at Hawkbatch and my handbag stolen. The bag had been placed in the boot and covered up so it could not be seen through the hatchback window. I think the thief must have watched me do this and waited until the car park was empty before smashing the window. Such a shame as it is a lovely walk.
Great place for walking and riding, could do with better access across busy road to other side of forest.
