How to Become a Forest School Leader

To become involved in Forest School delivery it is important to undertake the necessary training.  In Wales, to be able to lead and deliver Forest School sessions an individual must have:

  • An Agored Cymru Level 3 qualification Level 3 Forest School Leader Award or BTEC Forest School leader qualification.
  • A current First Aid at Work or First Aid in the Outdoors ITC certificate.
  • An enhanced CRB disclosure.

Level 3 Forest School Leader courses that we deliver:

As of March 2011 our Level 3 courses will be £800 plus between £90 - £110 for 1st Aid course if required.

If you wish to apply for any of the above courses then contact our Forest School coordinator Carol Travers.  You will then receive an application form for your chosen course approximately 3 months prior to the start date.  You will need to fully complete, sign, and return the application by the required date in order to be considered for a place.  Courses are restricted to 16 students.
