We have lots of fun forest events coming up at Delamere over the next few months, including some great sporting activities for both adults and children.
Delamere is an ideal place to go for a walk. Whether you're looking for an easy going trail for all abilities, a hike to admire the view or a bit of peace and quiet to observe the wildlife.
Take to the tracks at Delamere and explore the forest on two wheels. New riders can enjoy the smooth sandy tracks and gentle hills, whilst more experienced riders can try the skills area and miles of XC trails.
Enjoy adventure high above the forest floor, taking on zip-wires, tarzan swings and a variety of obstacles! Mini-Tarzans can also get in on the action with Go Ape’s Tree Top Junior course (min age 4yrs and min height 1m). For more information and to book visit Go Ape.
Get off the beaten track on board an all-terrain forest segway – Go Ape’s epic forest adventure with a down-to-earth twist. It’s a totally unique way to tackle our trails. Min age 10yrs and min weight 7 Stone. For more information and to book visit Go Ape Forest Segway.
Orienteering is an outdoor adventure sport that excerises both mind and body. Delamere offers a permanent orienteering course suitable for all ages and abilities. Horse riding and dog walking
Why not take your best friends along to Delamere? You will be in good company as many people head to the trees to enjoy a long walk. There are beautiful places to ride through and so many sticks to fetch!

Delamere is also a haven for wildlife including the beautiful small tortoise shell butterfly, greater spotted woodpecker, white faced darter dragonfly, green woodpecker, siskin and southern hawker dragonfly. For more information on the white faced darter check out www.cheshirewildlifetrust.org.uk.
