About Callendar Wood

Please note due severe weather 2nd January and further high winds forecast, we are advising members of the public not to use the woodland. Our teams are currently out assessing the damage and starting the clear up.

Callendar Wood is an ancient woodland that has formed a dramatic backdrop to the town of Falkirk for hundreds of years.  This wonderful, old woodland is a great place to come and visit with the whole family

Enjoy a relaxing walk and get up close to the woodland wildlife. Explore one of the three waymarked walks and pick up a leaflet from Callendar House.

This is a magical woodland that you will want to come back to time and time again.

I grew up in the area and played in the woods a lot whilst growing up. I still visit regular for walks with my family. I am a wee bit dissapointed that all the rhodies were taken away at the park end the color has changed a bit and I feel the council could do more but the place is great it always will be.
