About Ardgartan

Across the levels of Loch Long, surging from sea level to high rocky crests, are the Brack, the Cobbler, Beinn Narnain, and A'Chrois - sounding a clarion call to the walker and climber.

From  Ardgartan , short strolls leading through woodland along by the Croe Water can be extended on the network of forest tracks virtually as far as you care to go - down the Loch Long shore in richly mixed woods.

See also our pages on forests around Dunoon.

I go to Ardgarten regulary and would highly recommend it to anyone. It's relaxing and there are plenty of activities to do. The staff on the campsite and are lovely and welcoming and every time I leave I'm sad to go.
