Corlarach Loop

About Corlarach Loop

Single Track Section at Canada Hill has been re routed due to fallen trees, follow the white waymarkers as before. (Updated 30th April 2012)

The Corlarach Loop provides a number of longer route options. The trail connects the Kilbride and Ardyne car parks (8.5 miles). It is also a long distance loop from the Kilbride car park (16 miles) and a shorter loop from the Ardyne car park (9.5 miles).

Please remember that the weather in the hills and mountains can change quickly, so take adequate warm and waterproof clothing.

Corlarach is a working forest. Vehicles use the forest roads and forest operations are ongoing throughout the year.

How to get there:

Corlarach Loop can be started from Kilbride, Glenmorag and Ardyne Carparks in Corlarach which is part of Corlarach. Dunoon is the nearest town or village.

From Glasgow, follow the M8 to Gourock, then take the ferry crossing to Dunoon.

On leaving the ferry, follow the A815 south to Bullwood, with access to Kilbride and Glenmorag carparks.

Continue on the A815, through Innellan and Toward to Ardyne Carpark.

Fantastic views over the Firth of Clyde and some strenuous ascents as well, so a very satisfying walk!
