Ardgartan Shore Cycle Route

About Ardgartan Shore Cycle Route

A circular route starting at the Ardgartan Visitor Centre. Follow blue waymarkers down to the shore, then climb back up to Coilessan Glen crossing the Red Cycle Route, back to the Coillessan Events Carpark, and then back to Ardgartan Visitor Centre.

Please be aware that as of 8th March there is some construction work taking place on the forest road section from the visitor centre, please take care if using this route.

Additionally on the 23rd March there will be some helicopter activity in Coilessan glen which will result in some sections of this route being closed for short periods of time.  There will be banksmen in place to direct visitors.

How to get there:

Ardgartan Shore Cycle Route can be started from Ardgartan Visitor Centre in Ardgartan which is part of Argyll Forest Park. Arrochar is the nearest town or village.

Follow the A82 along the western shore of Loch Lomond through Tarbet entering the Forest Park at Arrochar, then follow the A83 for three miles to Ardgartan.
