Simonside Ridge Walk

At first this path follows the same route as the Ravensheugh Walk but continues south up to the top of Simonside. From the viewpoint you can see a further 180 degrees towards the south, taking in the Northumbrian coastline. The path then continues eastwards below Old Stell Crag, believed to be the site of the Simonside Beacon, on to Dove Crag and down through the forest to the car park.

How to get there:

Simonside Ridge Walk can be started from Simonside Car Park in Simonside which is part of Rothbury. Great Tosson and Rothbury are the nearest towns or villages.

Off the B6342 just south of Rothbury OR via Great Tosson village.
